Submitted by pa parent on Wed, 11/06/2019 - 18:58
Is it a mandatory requirement in York County PA court for an individual to go to the Kid's First Custody workshop in a custody matter that was just initiated? The parents of the child were never married, never lived together and have never separated during the life of the child. The parents separated before the child was born.

Dealing with difficult mom with school decision

Submitted by HungLe on Tue, 09/03/2019 - 11:59
My son starts kindergarten on Thursday and we are in disagreement as to which school he will go to. She won't even consider my opinion and wants him to attend a school near her, Ressurection Regional Catholic School. I have him 4-5 days every week (switches each week) and it's not fair for me to have drive each way for the school she wants and it's not really that good of a school. Especially when Merion Elementary (#4 in the state) is half a block away from me in Narberth.

Grandparents preventing seeing

Submitted by kimbasnow on Mon, 08/12/2019 - 16:43
My daughters recently spend the week at their mother and with the way it fell with custody I didnt see them for almost a week and half. I work a part time job and a local YMCA. As I was walking in they were walking out with their grandmother. My youngest was yelling and screaming for me so I started to walk towards them to give them a hug since it's been 1½weeks for all 3 of us. As I was doing this their grandmother proceeded to drag them by the arms telling them to shut up, get in car and stop causing a scene.

Father wants custody in pa mother in nj with child currently

Submitted by steveh535 on Sun, 12/23/2018 - 21:35
I’ll try to make this short and to the point with as much facts possible. Im the father trying to get full custody of my 6 year old daughter in pa but the mother lives in nj currently. So here we go. Me and my daughters mother were together and lived in pa my daughters whole life. My now ex has a history of mental illness/ alchoholism. Our relationship was rocky at best so as a last ditch effort I decided to try moving to another state with her. The plan was to start over and things would be easier bc here family is in that area. So I gave it a shot.

languages

Submitted by IJacobs on Sun, 12/02/2018 - 08:34
My Ex and I migrated from Belgium, and we both speak 4 languages, we have 2 boys, and after she ran off with this guy, and before the divorce was final, I noticed that the boys were starting to have a hard time to speak anything else besides English. So I asked the kids about it, and they said that their Moms boyfriend doesn't let them speak anything besides English, they are living in America and only English would be spoken.

I want my kid to stay at mine for a couple nights after Christmas

Submitted by RichardLucas on Wed, 11/28/2018 - 13:43
I'll try and keep it simple. .

I have a 13 month old baby boy and have recently split up with his mum. I have no problem with her and believe she will always do what's best for him. I've been providing her with money from when he was born and have provided 80% of his clothes and toys.

She lives 135 miles away from me (I used to work away a lot)

I drive down there almost every weekend

I've asked if I could have him for 4 nights 135 miles away from his mum for 3 days after Christmas day.
