Latter Stages of Divorce, No Children Invloved

Good Evening,

My name is Ed G. and I'm going through the latter stages of my Divorce.  I've terminated my relationship with two previous lawyers who were highly dissatisfactory in conducting my case.  I'm currently unemployed and looking for lower cost representation, if possible.  No children are involved in my case, so there's no child support or custody issues.  I was married for 6 years and now seaprated for 3 and a half years.  Alimony Pedente Lite was paid for over 3 years on a 6 year marriage.  I'm the defendant in this case.

Unfortunately, this case isn't a simple 1 as there is an issue of a Pre-Marital Property and a Marital Property.  Equity was taken from the pre-marital property to buy the marital property in 2007.  A credit line (against the pre-marital property) was established in both the Plaintiff and Defendants names at the time the marital property was purchased.  The Plaintiff and the Defendant were on the deed and the mortgage of the marital property, but only the Plaintiff is on the deed of the Pre-marital property.  The marital propperty is now "under water" from the mortgage balance.

An outline is available concerning the facts of the case with possible argurments for the Defendant.  The Plaintiff's Legal Team has been unwilling to compromise out of court since the beginning of the case.

I've contacted Legal Aid of SE PA (LASP), The legal clinics of Penn, Villanova, and Widener Universities without successfully locating a Family Law/Divorce Lawyer with a lower rate per hour.  All Lawyers have been $300 or more including rates per hour for their corresponding staffs.  Any recommendations or suggestions regarding where to locate affordable representation would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reading my blog,

Ed G.
